| MINUTES OF M.S.A MEETING June 3rd, 2000

The Treasurer Joe Petone called the meeting to order
at 11:30a.m.
- Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
- Joe gave a financial report:
- $3072.77 Prev.Bal.
- $648.51 Expenses
- $2000.50 Deposits
- $4496.76 Bal.
President's Report:
Read by Joe Petone in Willie Young's absence
- Willie had a meeting with NY state park officials
and Capt. Richard O'Donnell at Park headquarters.
Willie asked for stepped of enforcement for non-fishing
and general violations at Cedar Beach State Park.
Surfing and general violations at Montauk. Police
said they would have -a couple, of sweeps in the Spring
and Summer. Also in the I" as needed. Any surfing
problems, call Willie at 516-798-2528 with date and
time of surfing problems at Montauk.
- Willie will meet with State officials on June 14,
2000 to see what has to be done to open up parking
area in the back of Jones in let for fishing
- Fishing area by the third Wantagh bridge - will
be opened - as soon as construction is completed.
- Saturday before Labor day September 2, 2000 will
be our' annual picnic at Third House park in Montauk.
- A clean up of beach at Gurney's Inn, Sunday June
4, 2000 at 9:00a.m. With Montauk Litter Task Force.
Old Business.
- Bill Lundin gave a report on the Turtle Cove. The
Town wants to put 15 '-20 parking spots up by the
gate for the fort. The lower lever parking will be
for handicap parking only. A town permit will also
be required. A town four - wheel drive permit will
be needed to go on the beach.
- A proposal to reduce E. H. Town four -wheel drive
pen-nit for the fall season met opposition by a couple
of Montauk residents who are also ex MSA members
