The Fishermen and New York State Parks

Willie Young met with Fred Golofano of The Fishermen
and Frank Kollar of New York State Parks to open back
of Jones Inlet by construction dock for Fishermen parking.
Parking access would be through the Coast Guard Road
and this includes about 1500 ft. on the dirt road. Filling
of low spots, removal of debris, stones and placing
of markers must be done first.
Their will be parking for about 30-40 vehicles and
you must have a 4-Wheel-Drive Permit or a Sports Fishing
Permit. This plan must be authorized by Albany and should
take about 3 - 4 months.
UPDATE: Green Island Parking should be open by August
1st.

Jones Beach, July 18th,
3-7pm to make parking at Green Island permanent. Try
to make it!!!
