N.Y.S Commisioner, Ms. Bernedette Castro is actively thinking about designating a certain portion of Camp Hero (Montauk Point) to surfers. We at M.S.A are against this issue and we will pursue this matter further. We believe that giving access to surfers will limit our fishing rights to that portion of the area.

We will be writing a letter to Ms. Castro about this issue and give her a chance to respond before we take this matter further.
